Koen Lozie
Managing Director
Koen is a Belgian international tax and financial planner. He holds law degrees from Ghent University (magna cum laude) and Georgetown Law School (Washington, D.C.) where he specialised in U.S. international taxation. He also holds certifications in U.S. life insurance planning, trusts in litigation and investment migration. Before setting up Aver Associates he worked in tax in Belgium with Tiberghien and Ernst & Young, with a private bank in Luxembourg which is now part of BGL BNP Paribas and in other jurisdictions. Today he is active from Malta. Being an expatriate and dual resident himself he has particular affinity with migrating clients and international families spread over several jurisdictions. Koen is the founder and Managing Director of Aver Trustees Malta Limited, a MFSA Licensed Trustee company since 2005. He is a member of the International Bar Association and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Karl Magri
Director
Karl is a Maltese Certified Public Accountant. In the early stages of his career he worked with Grant Thornton and Price Waterhouse in Malta. Karl is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants, the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and STEP in Malta. Karl is a director of Aver Trustees Malta since 2005.
Geralda Kral
Director
Geralda is a Dutch national, based in Zürich. She holds a Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration from Flagler College, Florida (USA), and a Master Degree in International Management from Oxford Brookes University (United Kingdom). She has an L.L.M in International Taxation and Financial Services from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, California (USA), and she is also TEP qualified. She started her career with Fortis in Curacao and joined Amicorp Curaçao in 2002. In 2008, Geralda relocated to Zürich, where she became Managing Director of Amicorp Switzerland AG. In January 2016 she became the Global Head Private Clients for Amicorp Group. Geralda set up her own FINMA Licensed Trustee company in Switzerland in 2018, and joined the board of directors of Aver Trustees Malta Limited in 2021. Geralda is a committee member of STEP Zürich.
Justyna Matysiak
Director
Justyna is based in Malta also. Justyna is a finance professional with 25 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting and reporting (IFRS, US GAAP and Polish Accounting Standards) gained in large, multinational organisations – mainly banks based in Poland, Austria and Sweden, among which a retail bank unit of General Electric and Raiffeisen Bank International. Justyna also worked in Bratislava and in Edinburgh where she was internal auditor. Justyna holds a Master Degree in Corporate Finance from the Gdansk University (where she graduated with honours) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Controlling in Management. Justyna joined Aver Associates Malta in 2018.
